It is amazing just what can be done to improve or enhance an image. Whether it is an old treasured photograph that has become damaged or faded over the years or a recent photo which requires an object or person removing. Old black and white photographs come to life when hand coloured.

The response to our restorations has been very emotional at times, especially when the picture worked on has been particularly important and for some reason it has been badly damaged or even torn to pieces.

One photograph in particular stands out because the little girl, Katy, had unfortunately died as a baby many years ago and her mother only had the one photograph which she desperately wanted the background changing. The photograph was 23 years old when she eventually came to us and enquired about the options. After much thought we decided to photograph a carefully chosen rose and use that for the background. Enlarged and framed, the result was stunning and the family was overjoyed. Katy now has pride of place in their living room.
